Well, I think it is the tinted clear coat they put on that gives the color so much depth. The depth is in both the overall look, and the shading that the tinted clear creates...I have not notices anything weird about the actual color shading, but I have seen this phenomenom on the red cand metallic too...The metallic plus tinted= different shade in different lights/angles..

Apparently I've purchased the sole candy blue sedan sold in N. America, since he 2012 was released! Can't post any photos of it though, as this is a Government Computer (&*^%!! Did I write that out loud??) Anyway, I can't attach any removable media (which has my Focus photos) to this without it's software snitching on me to the "Inquisitors". Mine's an SE Sport/Spt Pkg and the black with polished rim 17" wheels. You get the drift.........

Certainly not hurting enough... got up and ran away after causing $2100 in damages to the door, quarter, and bumper cover.

I was ready to beat it senseless with my maglite.
