looks like you got the handling package(?) I have not seen a Ti with the 18's, and some side shots would be cool! I like the DRL's

Here is a pic I took that shows more of the sides and yeah, got the handling package. Love the way it sticks to the road like a go cart. It was taken before I installed the DRL's. Got the DRL's for $289 plus tax at a dealer in Daytona Beach and installed them myself. Very easy install and I did not have to cut any wires. I simply tapped a single wire on driver side headlamp (pin 12), installed the ground and tapped a fuse. The installation is completely reversible. The hardest part of the install was removing the old triangle inserts so that I could install the new ones with the LEDs. I removed the bottom cover and pushed them out from behind.

Love the DRLS! do you have a writeup thread for it with more pics? If not you should make a "how to" :D

I found a write up somewhere else that was very detailed. Better than what I could have done really. At the time I did the installation I didn't think to document it so I don't have pics to include with a write up. Sorry

So after my $10,000 accident repair and partial reprint, I notice the paint is still gummy compared to the other side of the car that has factory paint. That seems like its not good. It's been three weeks, and by now it should be hard.... Correct? Looks like they did not get the hardener right maybe?

Our tinted clear coat should really be heat treated before being handed back to you. I would google this as well, but thats what my body guy at the dealer tells me....

I find it hard to believe that they would forget to do the heat treating. That is the only way the hardener sets up. It's 100% required.
I think they did not have the room up to the right temperature, or they did not mix the hardener correctly. I'm taking it back today and going to ask for a repaint. It's already cost 10 grand. It's got to be a good 3 or 4 thousand just for the three stage paint job.

They also ruined one of the back seats, and one of the widows does not work. I'm at ford right now and they are fixing those things as a warrany repair, even though they were caused by the body shop.

My guess is that the body shop will have to eat the cost of the repaint. I don't see how hey can charge that to the insurance. I'm pretty sure that at this point the paint won't respond to heat anymore.

Yeah, it may not. They will be able to charge your insurance again as a part of the same claim, and I dont believe your insurance can think about totaling it, since its re-work...That is horrible. You have more patience than I!

It's such a shame that this lovely color is so prone to paint repair issues.

My car goes back to the bodyshop tomorrow morning to fix a couple remaining issues.

I'm sorely tempted to get out of this car and either see if I can find a dealer who will help me out, or jump ship entirely and trade it in on a GTI. I'm really tired of dealing with the bad luck. I love the car in general, but I never got a chance to fall in love with this car and enjoy it. It sucks.
