roaring noise

Its been about a month since the Ford dealer installed new clutches in my Focus, but since then I've been getting this increasing roaring noise, which sounds like it coming from the left front.

I lifted the front of the car this afternoon to check if I had a front hub going bad but everything seems tight aside from the noise it makes when I rotate the wheels lightly back and forward.

There is the sound of a loose gear slap or something with lots of play making a clacking noise. Is this normal for the DSG trans?

Or might I have an inner CV joint going bad? If I do at 51k miles I wont be happy.

My car has 55k on it and I've got the same thing going on. Sounds like I'm running mud tires.

Just got it back from the dealership who basically has no idea whats going on lol. Gotta take it back and leave it for a few days

Try rotating that tire to the back to see if the noise follows. Tire noises can imitate wheel bearing problems in my experience so you want to rule that out or confirm it.

Same issue here - happens on my summer and winter tires. None of my wheels felt loose enough to wiggle, but I still think it's a bad bearing.

The road noise from this video is on 15" rims, is this normal? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5RqoQHgXWQ

Hello All,

I'd like to put you in touch with your regional customer service manager, who'll work with you and your dealer to find a solution. Please send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage (if not posted), and preferred servicing dealership.

Todd
