I actually picked up my Titanium hatch on 4/6 but gave her a bath today so figured this was a good time to finally post some pics!

Dealer happened to have this one on the lot - 3/22 build date and it has 4/2 written on it under the hood, so I'm guessing that's when it arrived at the dealership. It only had 5 miles on it when I picked it up, so at least I know there weren't too many people putting their hands on it before I got it.

Absolutely love this car - I'd say it's by far the nicest I've ever owned. No mods yet, though I'm anxious to see what I can do with it after reading through the forum. Definitely a great resource here!

Sure is, though I don't know of any stations in my area that even have E85.

Hmm, then something changed since last year even though it is a same year model. Because on mine it is forbiden to use E20 or E85. Only E10 and "straight".

This was a feature upgrade of the Job 2 builds (cars built after 3/5/12), if the car has 50 state emissions it was standard for them to be built with flex fuel capability to be able to run E0-E85 instead of only E0-E10. However it appears that those cars conforming to the partial zero emissions vehicle emissions regulations (PZEV) were not currently available as a flex fuel vehicle.

Other changes for job 2 builds were the inclusion of the grille shutters as standard across the range, eliminating ebony black (UA) and the added four way head restraints, although they had to use up their supply of two way head restraints before they could start building cars with them. It appears that the two way head restraints were finally phased out around last week or maybe the week before.

Thank you suss6052 for the info. I though about it too, when the "built 2" came into picture some days ago. But flexfuel = lower mpg so, why should someone want it in his car ? I would go for diesel fuel anytime, rather then flexfuel.

Well personally I don't necessarily plan on running E85 when I get the car, but I do know that at least the U.S. Government and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is trying to force higher concentrations of ethanol into regular gasoline, and was doing some rather isolated and biased testing trying to prove that blends of up to or greater than 15% would not harm cars built after 2001, but my current car was built in 1994 and would most certainly not take too well to a higher concentration of ethanol in the pipes. Ethanol is corrosive, and attracts water and condensation, both of which is not so good for the fuel lines. Older non flex fuel cars which can't adjust their timing to accommodate for the fact that ethanol has its own oxygen supply and adjust the fuel injection or air metering to compensate and adjust for the different stoichiometric air fuel ratio could end up running too lean and burning valves or pistons. This is one of the few reasons why I would want a flex fuel version over a normal petrol only variant, in order to future proof the car against government meddling in the choice of fuel that we can use. Obviously if you drove a lot of miles, like I did while I was in university on an internship that was a 100+ mile round trip every day a diesel or a high mileage gasoline powered vehicle makes more sense than running on bio-ethanol, but the U.S. frowns upon diesel powered cars here for the most part, in part due to their higher emissions of oxides of nitrogen, even though they produce less CO2 the combustion occurs at a higher temperature which leads to a higher quantity of NOx which then requires expensive after treatment to meet the emissions requirements, which is why beside a few Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and VW diesels most of the current diesels sold in North America are big heavy trucks.

I've been noticing the Flex Fuel badges on all Foci being delivered to my dealership for the past couple of weeks. I'm still waiting to see the new headrests.
