Touch Up Paint Bottle Defect

Recently I bought some touch-up paint from FordParts.com and had it shipped to a dealer close to me (My dealer doesn't do online ordering). I then went to apply the paint with the pen that it comes with but was disappointed to find out that the pen is not functional at all. No paint is getting from the bottle to the tip of the pen. I contacted the dealer but they have not contacted me back yet. Has anyone else had this problem? or been able to get a replacement that actually works?

did you remove the red cap/plug from under the brush? the pen doesn't work unless this is removed to allow the paint to flow.

The tip is usually sealed off from the paint. You have to pierce the seal to get it to flow.So I think you have to take the tip off and break the seal under it.

The dealer said they're going to order me a new one. That might be true it just doesn't look like the tip is removable.
