So in my setup I have 35watt ballasts, warning chancellors (capacitors), and bulbs. I still don't understand the cycling though anyone else have any input on this. I think I'm going to try some resistors today and relay harness |

my HID thread: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=310684 P.S: check the first page for everything you need to buy and the wiring diagram, check out the second page if you wanna see the instalation pics and the proof that there is no bulb out error and check the 3rd page if you want the exact explanation as to why you need relay and resistors for the HID to work, you will probably understand after that. Next week I am installing HID in my fogs light (35w, 10000k deep blue) but fog are easier since they dont need a relay or resistors to work. |

Kiba, just so you know, 10,000k blue will not cut through fog AT ALL. You'll basically be turning the fogs into driving lights. Just wanted to make sure you know that, not saying you're wrong.
You should go with 3,000k or at most 3,400k for cutting through fog. You need that longer wavelength so the water vapor can't block the light.

Posted this up in kibas thread already but I wanted to see if anyone had any input on what might be causing a bad smell in the cabin of my car. Both resistors are mounted to the frame away from plastic and they're both working just fine so I don't know what would be causing the smell.
Also I'm still getting the dipped beam bulb fault but it goes away after about 5 seconds.

If its goes away after 5 seconds and your hid dont turn off, its probably one of the resistors not creating enought resistance, and as soon as you start your hid the resistors start heating up and thus creating enough resistance, I cant think of anything else if everything is wired according to my wiring diagrams on my thread.

I've got the harness and resistors, I'm not too worried about the error code cause the lights work anyway, I was just curious why it was doing that is all.

From time to time I get that error but the lights still function fine I guess the car Is realizing something is not right at the start up but if it works lol Who cares!
