Still trying to determine what all I would need to do the conversion. I read in another thread that if the 35w kit is used then there would not be a need for the relay harness only the resistors/cancelers. Is this the case?

Just installed the kit from DDM and they have changed it.
They deleted the loom that went to the battery then to both HID bulbs and one headlight original hardshell.
The new kit uses both original headlight power leads that power each ballast.
Much easier to install. I have not driven it yet but I have no bulb error problem at this time.

2 HID bulbs and the 2 ballasts with short looms.

I had to cut a little hole into the rubber plug behind headlight for the HID loom to seal its rubber plug in the middle.

So no resistors or relays?

When I tested it in the garage without the car running it was fine.

Went to test on the road but got the dipped bulb fault.
Not sure why there is a difference?

Found away around it for now...
I am going to bypass the headlight switch until I get the resistors.
Run my own power to a switch with inline fuse just to get me back on the road.

I really don't see a need for HID yet, as I have pretty good bulbs, Ill wait for the HID assemblies to be available.. Maybe. Now for my 1954 F-100 I may go with HID's

HID's are better than deer whistles... they work.
Only when you have the resistors.
Resist on.
I couldn't resist.
