A few pics. I didn't take a lot as I didn't have a helper and most of the process would be self explanatory for someone experienced enough to want to tackle this project anyway.

C238 connector (pic from an earlier post):

The green arrow points to the blue 18 gauge wire coming out of the Delphi pin I add to C238 behind the glove box. This for the mirror heat. This is the only place I ended up using a terminal pin that needed a terminal crimper.

Driver's door module:

The lower driver's door module connector were I removed pins to make the inside the door connections. You can see the bottom row is numbered 13-24 (left to right) thus making the top row 1-12 (left to right). I removed pins 6 & 7 in the center of the top row:

Passenger's door module:

The upper passenger's door module connector were I removed pins to make the inside the door connections. You can see the top row is numbered 13-24 (right to left) thus making the bpttom row 1-12 (right to left). I removed pins 6 & 7 in the center of the bottom row:

Is anyone interested in my C339 connector with pigtails? I removed B2, B3, B4, & B5 for my project. There are no 18 gauge wires left, but there are enough 20 gauge wires to do another heat and puddle upgrade. This connector was removed from an ST, obviously with door modules. I put it in the for sale section. http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s....php?p=4912906

I think I can also throw in a couple of the Delphi pins for C238; I just need to make sure I can find my spares.

Thanks for the info wylee. Has anybody else attempted this from his write-up? I'd been meaning to upgrade mine to heated mirrors as well, but have just not had the time. And from reading this, doesn't seem as it as I thought it would be.

Honestly, after going through a winter, I'm not sure I'd spend the money again. The Focus mirrors just don't seem to collect frost the way my prior cars did.

I do like the puddle lights but that alone is probably not worth the cost of new mirrors.

Has anyone done a write up on this yet? I want to do it but the instructions seem a bit vague to me. I need some pics of where the wires are feeding from the mirror to the module inside please and thanks.

For the connections inside the door, I pulled pins 6 & 7 from C501B, cut the pins off, and connected the new wires I ran through C339 A9 & A10.

The connections are not tied into the car yet. The heat will be connected to C238. The puddle lamps will be tied into a relay behind the glove box that will be fired by the passenger footwell lamp

I was able to get the C340 housing out without removing the door as well. I used the only two empty pin slots for my pins (A3 & B8) or (A8 & B3). I can't remember which number went with which letter.

The connections inside the passenger door were essentially the same as the drivers door. I removed pins 6 & 7 from C652B, cut the pins off, and connected my newly run wires to the pin 6 & 7 wires.

Interesting mix and match on my front speakers...the driver's side had a poly cone, a much bigger magnet, and some extra "stuff" at the speaker wire connection. The passenger side had a paper cone with smaller magnet.

But look above.
He pointed out all the details.

Thanks.

I was just looking through to see what I missed. I don't see anywhere to add anything.

I think what he's looking for is a set, set of instructions. Start to finished.

Pictures showing which connector, where it's found. Which pins to add to what connector and where.
