Driver seat squeak

I researched this thread topic but found only one post from a Canadian member,,,,
Does anyone , beside me, have an annoying driver seat squeak when traversing bumps? It was intermittent when I first bought the car but seems to have gotten worse as time passed.
If so, what was done do eliminate the squeak? Or did u bring it to the dealer and what did they do to fix it? Thnx

Mine squeaks. If I shuffle my rear in the seat, or move side to side I can make it squeak. I think it's the leather rubbing against the plastic outside frame thing of the seat. So far I haven't done anything about it.

Hmmmm. To me is sounds as if it is coming from below or "deep" in the seat. The passenger seat does NOT squeak, only driver side.

It does not do it if I move around in the seat. Only over bumps and such. Perhaps a trip to the dealer is in order.

bottom or back? Mine squeaks sometimes as well from deep in the bottom somewhere. Frankly it's really petty compared to all the rattles, wind noise, DCT, etc so I haven't bothered to hunt it down or bring it up to the service dept. If I hear it again and remember, maybe I will try to hunt the source down.

Hi folks,

If you don't want to make a special trip, you can always bring this up at your next service appointment. Need me to jump in and assist? Send me a PM with all the details (VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name) so I can get to work. :)

Crystal

An update on the squeaky driver's seat:
took it to my local ford dealer this morning and got a call back 2 hrs later telling me that some bolts were loose and were then tightened to specs. They say they can't duplicate the squeak so hopefully it is fixed for good. I'll report back after i pick up the car later on and take it for a 'bumpy' test drive.
