For that price I'd save the $350ish for the HID headlamps, look much better IMO. Plus those look kind of tacky and definitely not worth more than $150. I think the look is good from far away but it looks like its a $20 mod.

Had to go through a lot of cutting/fitting, mounted with stainless and aluminum hardware, and used black silicone to seal them. The problem with these particular 8 led lights is the angle of illumination is narrow. Our triangle grill surface points off to the side a bit toward the curb. Since the LEDs don't have a wide angle of illumination, they are full brightness off toward the curb, not straight ahead. To make matters worse, the LED brightness isn't consistent between bulbs when viewed off center. Straight on, at full brightness, they are equally bright. All in all, they just don't look factory. Maybe the other Phillips 5 LED models are better in this department, I don't know. If the Echomaster LEDs are offset to compensate so they look bright straight ahead, and have a wide angle of consistent brightness between bulbs, I think they are worth the price. But if they are just like Phillips and point off to the side, then you might be disappointed. |

Hi. I received my echomaster LED DRL set in the mail today - paid under $200 with coupon code. I read through the instructions (both the included ones and the ones on TruckFancy). Just one item was not clear to me. When I pull fuse #42 from the fuse box, does this fuse get plugged into the "add a fuse" along with the included 3 amp, or does just the 3 amp fuse go into the "add a fuse" and the 15 Amp fuse gets saved as a spare?

Got it. Did y'all disconnect the battery before installing? Doesn't seem like there is much chance to short anything.

Got 'em installed today. Took me abour 1 1/2 hrs total. Everything went smoothly because the kit is very complete. They even include the tap for the wire from the #12 pin on the headlight harness as well as a butt connector and zip ties.
The only thing thing I stumbled on a bit was how to route the red wire inside the fuse box. The instructions didn't really hit on this. I just drilled a small hole into the side of the fuse box to run the wire inside. The DRLs look good and they are angled to project the best light head on. The kit was a bit spendy at $190, but it is extremely complete and you wont have to spend anything extra. Sent from my Obamaphone using FF Mobile.

Got mine last Friday from Truckfancy.com using the promo code. (Code:"CTF52" makes them $194 shipped). Thanks everyone for your input and ordering information. I love how easy this forum makes getting the right part at the right price. I installed the DRL's tonight. It took me a couple of hours since I'm pretty careful.
![]() NOTES: 1) I didn't follow the instructions that you can download from TruckFancy.com. They have you cut wires. The Echomaster instructions don't have you cut any wires. The DRL's work as advertised. 2) There is one error in the Echomaster instructions, the wiring diagram shows the black wire going to the fuse box and the red wire going to ground. The correct way is RED to fuse box and BLACK to ground. It's an easy error to spot since the black wire has the round terminal end installed already as shown in the pictures. 3) It wasn't clear at first to me how to install the fuses in the "add a fuse". The original 15amp fuse removed from the car is plugged in underneath the new 3amp fuse.

The instructions I received from echomaster were correct with regard to the red/black wire. The instructions f4om truckfancy were wrong.

EchoMaster instructions supplied with the DRLs Step 7 and 10 where wire color is specifically noted are correct. EchoMaster instructions supplied with the DRLs Step 15 - Wiring Diagram on the instructions are wrong in the copy I received. It shows black to fuse and red to ground. I contacted EchoMaster to let them know of the errors.
