CFM High flow cat with which converter?

We are looking to have the high flow cat pipe available at the end of the month. We are looking do a redesign. We wanted some input on this.

We are looking to offer two different options possible being 1 and 2, but I think option 3 should be offered too, but not sure. We are not sure how many customers would be looking for an oem style converter. I am trying to find out what our customers are looking for. All options are obd-2 complaint.

The high flow cat pipe in option 1 and 2 would have better performance with a smaller round converter.

1. The first options is to us metallic converter, which has a 200 cell count. This one would flow the best. It does not have epa stampings. Estimated price $349.95

2. The 2nd option would be to use a ceramic 400 cell converter, which is more of an oem replacement. It would better results on an emissions test than option 1. The one we offered before was a ceramic 400 cell. It would still perform a little better than before. It does not have epa stampings. Estimate price $349.95.

Both the 1 and 2 would look similar to the picture below. The 1 and 2 converter is smaller diameter and is not as long as the current one.

3. The 3rd option would be for a customer looking for an oem replacement. This would still perform better than the factory one. It would be a ceramic converter 400 cell counts. We would offer a converter that looks similar to the one now. We are looking to change from the current round one to an oval converter. The oval converter should allow for better ground clearance. It would still have the larger body with the heat shield. It would have epa stampings. We are looking at changing the converter to a more expensive one that has more precious metals for lower tailpipe emissions. This option would have the best emission. It would have better emission results than option 1, 2, and our current one. Estimated price around $500.00.

Here is the picture of the current one:

All these options would have an option to add an rear reinforcement bracket to the pipe that attaches to the block. This would add support to the rear of the pipe. A few customers had requested this options. We are still pricing this additional option.

What option would you go with? What do you think?

We would also like to know what type of emissions testing is done in your state if any? Obd-2 and/or tailpipe sniffer test? If your state requires emissions testing, do they require the converter have epa stampings?

I believe you should offer Option 1 and Option 3 - both with the bracket, as long as the Stamping would make it a legal stock replacement in most states.

I like the first option, we don't have emission testing where I live so I would want to gain maximum flow while still retaining a converter.

i think providing options 1 and 3 would be the best route.
option 1 for those who live in state that do not have such strict emission laws would be nice, and option 3 for those that do but still want performance over the factory cat.

We appreciate the feedback. I have also contacted some customers by e-mail and by phone. After reviewing the feedback, we have decided to offer all three options. Our goal will be to keep in-stock the more popular options 1 and 2. The option 3 will be made to order.

We are currently waiting for the converters to arrive in to assemble the cat pipes. The converters for option 1 will arrive here soon, which will be available first. The option 2 and 3 converters may take a little longer to obtain given those are on back order, which means it will be available later.

So ... will these out perform the Current High-Flo Cat?

If it was posted, I missed it.

Interested in seeing some test numbers on a Dyno amongst all of the Cats here. These 3 plus the current HFC and ORP.

I am also looking for a HFC, since I am not getting tired of the ORP.
