2004 SE Sedan Build

Hey Everyone,

Well i posted about my Focus in the general section and got some feedback and suggestions and even learned some new things about my focus. It is a 2004 SE with a Duratec 2.3L engine. I want to turn in into a Daily Driver/ Weekend Warrior, So I can still drive to work, but if I want to go and mess around during the weekend I can. The Car needs a New Transmission in it, which should be in by the end of the month. I have a good idea of what I want to do to it and add to the Car. So I guess I will show you guys pictures or my progress and let you know what I'm doing to the car. First thing after the transmission is to set up the Audio and new Tires, just picked a Sub up today for it. After that I will be getting a new Exhaust, not a Ricer sounding one either, I want a Low tone sound like a Subaru WRX has. Also want to get new rear and front bumpers on there, thinking of going with Extreme Dimensions, really wish the gt300 kits would fit on the 04' but ill keep looking. Well I think that's enough for now. Here is a picture of the car as it is right now, and the sub I got for it. This is after I cleaned it up and Painted the Hubcaps because the original paint was scratched and dirty.

Can't wait to get her running and on the Road!

That's a nice starting point for a project. Jealous of the 2.3, nice stout motor. You also picked the best color for the first gens.

I will for sure keep an eye on this thread. Check out my profile if you need any ideas for mods I've got several pics, and as always feel free to ask.

Nice score with the 2.3! If you get a bodykit beware - it will most likely have fitment issues. Plus most bodykits are really outdated. That car would look good with an SVT front bumper, SVT or Roush sideskirts, SAP spoiler with the 05-07 taillights, 05-07 trunk & SAP rear bumper. Check out these sites below for aftermarket performance parts:

You could also get the Rieger front bumper:

& to FF!

The only place to get anything SVT is used. Check the car part-out forum, people are always parting them out:

Check here as well:

You can also look at the marketplace on Focaljet, eBay, Amazon(yes I have found a few SVT bumpers on there), or the BST on Facebook.

Yea, you need to do your research and have patients. The only part still out there you can buy new is the lower grill and suspension . Rockauto.com has the lower grills and ford racing sells the suspension. The svt susapension only gives a .5 inch drop which is why I went else where for that.

The upper grill was found on craigslist out of chicago.

The degas cover and hvac controls came from a member on here parting out her svt.

The lower lip also came from a member on here.

The headlights I got off ebay.
