Top Speed's Duratec Sedan Drag Car Build Thread
I have been meaning to make a thread on Focus Fanatics about this car for some time now. We have been working on swapping in Duratec in what was a 04 zetec sedan that we had turbo-ed some time ago.

We are in the process of putting together a high compression 2.5L engine for this car, but in order to get everything together and get the car running we took a 2.0L and sat it in there.

This car is going to be ran off of an AEM EMS4 stand alone, so we have been building an entirely new harness for the car. When it is finished is is certainly going to be a great platform for us to build on.

And now for the pictures to bring you up to speed on how the car is today.

Looks pretty promising, what are your power goals for it? Since its being built for drag, what times you hoping to achieve?

Deep in the 10's is our goal, but with this stock motor I really don't have a clue. Car weighs between 1900-2000lbs w/ driver.

so basically its going to be a stock motor with bolt ons and standalone that you want in the 10's?

I am planning on making more than 240whp with the 2.5L. We have some good plans for it that I am sure will pay off.

With this stock motor, if and when it goes to the track, it is going to have quite a bit of nitrous. So it will run whatever we want it to.
