To Traction Control or Not to Traction Control?

I've begun to turn off the traction control in dry weather. I've noticed, or it could be my brain playing tricks, is that the car feels more responsive, more agile than when the traction control is on. My question is though, has anyone noticed a change in fuel consumption between when the Traction Control is on or off?

No, TC is off when the light is on.

Not if there was a way to turn off the stability control. I tried road coursing this the other day and I was very upset with it. Traction control off made a difference but the car wouldnt let me swing it through the corners without trying to fight with me to stay straight.

I've found mine really snaps around if I wait to get on the gas as I start straightening the wheels after the apex. When I say snap I mean pull me right in to my line.

BetaDnB might know where I"m talking about.. I was getting on 219 North from Genesee Rd Friday chasing a BMW Z4.. lol but I took the turn at about 45 and was pretty impressed at how well the car slid through the turn. My Mustang has no TC, not even ABS so it's kinda weird to have the car step in
