Mobil 1 synthetic ATX fluid?

I got a question, if i do a complete flush of my ATX transmission, how many bottles of Mobil 1 ATX fluid do i need? man they cost a lot~~ hopefully no more than 3 bottles~

And I can some local Quick Lube shop, they told me that Focus ATX does not have a filter, is this true??

Had my atx replace by ford at 40000km, and now is 53500km, just for the sake of making my tranny last longer, want to switch to some good stuff ;)

Well, considering you will have to use the Mobil one for the flush. It is going to be a lot. I think they recommend using somewhere around 7 bottles. Can remember exactly though.

I did mine with Royal Purple and this little do hicky machine my father has and it took 10 quarts to flush the little tranny.

OMG, i can't afford this~ Only a poor student~

what should i do, i had ask people on this forum before, many sugguest to change ATX fluid every year, and flush it every couple of years.... Should i just change the ATX fluid with regular stuff this year, than flush it in like 3 years to make my tranny last! I am worry that my tranny will break down on me, i can't afford this bill~~

why don't you install a cooler? it will prolong the life of your atx

that is a interesting idea! but i live in a bitter cold place call the Canadian prairies, a transmission cooler might do more bad than good~ but thx for the thought!

I flush my ATX and used mobil 1. Its expensive. I had to use about 7 quarts. But it works cool. Im now thinking bout installing a cooler.
