All right....I'm giving this one last shot.

My dealership (DC area members PM me if you want to know which dealership it is so you can avoid them like the plague) has reinforced my belief in the old saying "if you want something done right...do it yourself"...

So...my weekend project is going to be to replace all 4 speakers (got some JBL GTO628's from best buy for $50/pair) and while the door panels are off, to find these @#$%ing rattles and buzzes and eliminate them. I'm fairly certain if I can get rid of them, I'll be much happier with my car.

I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Good luck, I hope you find the rattle.

That is the piece I first had suspicion of....thanks much for the clarification. I will give it a go when I get back from my trip. Maybe this time away from my car it will behave when I get back haha.

So I tried pressing the piece just in case it wasn't snapped in properly. I did it while I was at a red light. Well, it didn't fix the rattle, but I found out another way to disconnect the usb without actually pulling it out. I usually play music using my usb, but when I press the piece on the picture above, the music stops and it shows on the screen that the usb was disconnected.

Anyone else with this problem? Don't think I've seen this problem anywhere on the forum yet.

Just got my door panel off. The fun continues. Even with the PRT, The clips are a f#$%ing nightmare to get off by the way.

Well, I've discovered now that 2 of the door panel screws' threads are stripped. Obviously the "mechanic" (and I use that word in the loosest sense possible) was using a drill to run them in and stripped everything out. Most of the screws that were not stripped were loose.

Same thing with the 3 speaker mount screws. 2 of them are totally stripped out. No wonder they can't get rid of the buzzing!!! Unbelieveable. I'm planning to go show everything to the GM of the dealership while I have it taken apart. He'll get one chance to make it right before I take this to Ford...

I've got everything taken apart now and I'm going to go show it to the GM.

Not sure if I'm having the same rattle as everyone else but it is on the right door. I took it to the dealer and we found the rattle just in front of the door handle, when the tech pushed on it the rattle went away. I'm currently waiting for them to finish fixing it but they think it's just a loose connection between the door panel and the door itself

I think I'm getting 2 separate rattles on the passenger side. And both don't show up until at least 50 mph. Must be a certain engine vibration frequency that causes it. I pushed on the reflector on the passenger door and one of them seemed to go away. But maybe it actually is closer to the door handle. I suspect the other one is related to the passenger seat or HVAC duct underneath as many have suspected.

I need to get someone to drive for me while I sit on the passenger side and push stuff until I can isolate it.

Well, just left the dealer. They fixed the rattle, they told me they installed new "push pins" and applied some silicone to them so they don't rattle loose or anything. After a quick road test I can tell they fixed it. Took about an hour.

Cool, congrats. Did the rattle happen at all speed over bumps or something?

Only over bumps and certain frequencies when the music was playing (heavy bass usually).

One thing I forgot to note, they had to call "engineering" to find out how to fix this. The head service guy told me they took pictures and documented everything and sent it to Ford Corporate...interesting...
