Rattle on the right

Having someone in the shotgun seat seems to quell it, but that may only be because the rattle is intermittent.
My FLFG can't reproduce it, but then they can't find their a$$ with two hands and a flashlight.

There is a vent to the rear pass. under the seat, that could be loose and rattle intermittently.

Took my Focus into a dealer and they told me that the rattling sound in my door was being produced by a faulty factory speaker. They ordered me a new one, and will replace it when it comes in.

Nothing like what wilsonfocus86 is experiencing though. Hope he gets that sorted out, because DAMN would that be annoying to drive with.

The was the first time it did it, just straight up hardcore rattle. And it hasn't done it like that since, which worries me. Because every time I drive now, I feel like I'll be OCD haha. I will keep an eye on it I guess.

My SE Sport has been pretty rattly since day 1:

- Dashboard/instrument cluster is noisy over bumps
- Clicking noise near my ear (B-pillar panel?)
- Noise from front lower door panels (goes away when I push down on the speaker grill)
- Buzzing from passenger side rear door (door makes a junky noise when I slam it; seems like the door panel wasn't installed properly)

I got rid of my previous car because I couldn't stand the rattles. Gonna take it to the dealer this Friday; hope they don't make things worse taking the interior apart!

Good luck with that! While not a rattle repair, my Focus goes in for its THIRD replacement headliner and second set of replacement interior panels tomorrow. They've made a mess of my car each and every time it's been worked on. Damaged trim and plastic panels galore! To their credit Ford has been OUTSTANDING in working with me. My dealer.... not so much.

My car has been to the dealership 5 times now because of rattles. First they replaced just the driver's speaker. Then they replaced both driver's side speakers. In the process of doing that, they broke some of the plastic clips that hold the door on and made it worse. Then I took it back, showed them what was wrong, and they said they would order the parts. The dumba$$ ordered more F#$%ing speakers. He called to tell me the parts were in. I took it in, and showed him the busted clips, and the guy tells me he didn't order that stuff.

So then I wait another week for the correct parts (new door panel) to come in. They just put that in, and the rattle isn't gone. And now there is a similar rattle in the passenger's side. #$%^%#$^%$&$%^#$^%^&$$%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I lemon law a car because of a rattle? I'm dumping this thing ASAP.

I'm tired of not being able to find a comfortable seating position, tired of the piss-poor service dept, tired of sync deciding it's going to do what I ask when it feels like it and tired of having to drop this damn car off at the dealership once a week so they can F#$% it up even more.

You can chalk it up to dumb luck, coincidences, me being too "picky", whatever...but when I have had to take TWO different focuses into the shop over 10 times in the first year of ownership, I take it as a loud and clear message from Ford that they don't want my business.
