Wonder how the feds know where the occupant's head is? Drivers vary in height from 4"11" (my mom) to over 6'6" (guy at work), or even more?

Also wonder if there's a law aimed at prohibition of retro-fit?

It's curious to me how our much government concerns itself with matters of safety when it comes to headrest configuration, but apparently not at all when it comes to texting while driving.

I've gotta believe that texting while at the wheel is perhaps the largest danger on today's highways. Even moreso than DUI. Certainly moreso than head restraint design!!

This is weird. 6'1" headrests feel very natural for me. First car I can relax back in and drive while leaning back on the headrests without feeling like Im looking up.

I hardly drive like that anyways some of you have weird arched backs.

Someone posted an updated order guide that shows what appears to be revised head rests for Foci built after 03/05/12. I myself have no problems with the current head rests but some might be interested. Check my post #7 for an excerpt.

Has anyone tried turning the headrest around? I did that in my 2 previous vehicles (99 civic and 07 azera) and it worked great!

I'm having the same problem. I wonder if they will change it out for free. Please let me know. Someone under 5' 1" would really have a head injury because the headrest cannot be pushed down all the way - flush with the seat.

I would even buy one for the driver's seat if it made a difference.

I've been traveling for work, I'll check with Dealer upon return, this is the most uncomfortable set up I've ever experienced.

would've needed a much longer test drive to figure this out prior to purcase.
