Thanks, it's going as well as it can right now I suppose. The Focus has been seeing plenty of use running back and forth, good thing I had put the wheels on when I did.

In the rush of things though I was finally able to grab my new vinyl from my friend who had ordered it in. I asked him to get the lightest he could find, for me to tint the clear portions of the tail lights; and now that I look at it, I may try to do the mirrors' signals as well to keep them matched.

It's not the best picture but it shows the level of tint that I received. Should be perfect for what I'm going after.

I like that hood.....I've been after an OEM louvered hood for my GP for years.

I want to see how those turn out. Looks like there are a few Mk3s with vented hoods at SEMA.

We hope so. There's still a ways to go in recovery but some important progress has been made.

The ones at SEMA all look like they came from the '13 V8 Mustangs, 'cept for Cosworth.

I Think the Mk2 RS vents look better as they are Focus lineage, and also Focus sized.

Glad to hear that 19 is making progress

I really can't tell if the vents are in the same place on all of the cars or not.

Most of the SEMA vents are so long, they span the entire engine. Looks good, but....

The vents on the Mk2 RS sit in an area of low pressure(on top of the hood) over the air space between the radiator and the intake manifold, venting the heated air up and out. Functional vents are functional.

Here are the vents on The Most Interesting Man in the World's Mexican RS(pkrehbiel). Much more inboard in placement and more centered over the work they were designed to do.

The Foust ST for comparison:

I think you're right regarding the vents' Mustang origins.

I think I prefer the longer vents though, aesthetically. It's the same with my Grand Prix; the factory offered longer and shorter louvers over the generation's run. I prefer the longer ones, as do many other owners.

I'm in love with a '13 Boss 302, so i get it. It'll be interesting to see what the F/G guy says about the Mk3 hood.
