What kind of updates to you get when you update the sct flasher? & it says to return the car to stock programing, then reprogram. Thanx

SCT xcal 3000. I got this from FWerk's w/ a 91/87 octane & EGR & rear o2 senser delete. I ordered this w/ my header & stealth muffler. It run's great. Also to datalog how far & what kind of driving do you do? & to setup for datalogging do I configure antolog inputs= yes/no? Data view format? 0 /0.0 /0.00 / 0.000?

I would contact your tuner and see what all he wants in the log and how he wants the log done

Not many tuners will let you send datalog and then update your tune they call that "custom tuning " and you have to pay extra

Datalogging requires a windows laptop with SCT's datalog software, a usb cable connected to the device and the device connected to the vehicle.

You should not drive on roads when data logging. It is designed primarily for dyno use.

Updating the SCT X3 with the SCT update software does not affect anything. You may not even need the update unless you are having issues with your tuner.

I've never had a prob driving on the road and data logging.

I don't have any issue's= the Foci runs great. I read where you need to datalog & do the SCT updates, so it sounds like I don't have to do anything.

Data logging and driving is the only way to do remote tuning. This is how me and tom tuned mine for the vortech.

You dont want to update the flasher if you have a tune loaded into your car , this will basicly lock your xcal and you wont be able to load a tune

The point I was trying to make is if you have a tune from a tuner you need to be sending him datalogs so he can get your tune to match your mods with your car as no 2 Foci are the same the tunes tuners send out are a good guess but with out datalogging in most cases your NOT getting all you can get
