It does for some, and not for others. I think it may have to do partly with what kind of roads you drive mostly on.

I am usually on a highway doing 60 to 75 mph, and I used to get 33-34 mpg. With the aero blades on, without any other attachments, I'm getting 32-33 mpg.

If you're mostly driving on local roads, I doubt you will see much difference.

wilsonfocus86,

I don't know if you answered this, what is your frame size?

Thanks.

p.s. the car looks great! I am picking up mine from the dealer tomorrow morning! can't wait to hit the road and order some racks soon.

[QUOTE=SNAPThr0w;3987776]I went with a permanent mount

Been looking at racks. I was thinking of a permanent mount as well. Did they have to remove the headliner? (Thinking that might be a can o' worms not to be opened. Especially after reading threads about rattling/loose liners, adhesive stains, etc)

I'd show you how mine works, but my car is currently at the body shop until tomorrow (someone hit me 2 weeks ago and they're replacing the bumper). If I remember I'll come back and update this thread with how mine works (a video, if possible). So strange.
Bump ...

What's the verdict on your hatch not raising all the way by itself? It sounds to me like one of the struts that raise the hatch back is on it's way out / defective. I've had to replace them on older minivans and such with similar symptoms.

Not at all to be honest. It really doesn't. I guess what I'm saying is that I have not seen a significant 1-2 mpg drop, it literally stays the same because the blades are so "aero" and I'm religious with cleaning my car to keep it slick cutting through the air :)

Thank so much! Frame size as in bike or of the blades? I mentioned the bars in the description so maybe the bike? Lol. It's a 56cm Trek. Hope that helps :) Let me know if you need anymore insight or pics!

The reason I wouldn't do that with a sunroof is that when you want it open, you're going to hear all the buffering of the wind coming off those blades...I've tried it before at speed, and it can get pretty violent if the wind is really whipping lol. I've got it down to a science where I can put the blades up in 10 mins, and take them off in 5! To each his own though :)
