The rear seat backs in my 2012 hatch fold flat . You have to slide the front seats forward, remove the rear headrests and flip up the rear seat bottoms to do it though.

^^this ... I believe the only 2012 FF rear seats thats don't fold flat are on S and SE sedans.

I'll put my Focus up against any foreign car in its class. Its way ahead of the curve.

I just wanna throw out the fact that I've driven quite a few cars aggressively and my 2012 sel hatch handles the best. It grips the road with a more than aggressive feel that I love to play with. Mountain drives in this car are like playtime for me. I don't beat it, by no means do I do that. Ford did it right

I've spent a fair amount of time in a Cruze Eco. While I don't think the comparison is nearly as one-sided as you suggest, I do think the Focus at least ekes out a little ahead of the Cruze overall. :) At the very least, the Focus does have more personality. (Now if only we could get fewer people to buy them... ;)

I did look at the Cruze and it drew more yawns from my wife and it just didn't look exciting and I'm not sold on GM quality in their cheaper cars. While some older gen Focus fiends say the 2012 blends in too much in the Hatch-scape on the roads I think it stands out against the others which is hard to do. I still get alot of people who still can't believe it's a Focus.

Fresh photo from 5 minutes ago til my wife whisked it away back to her job. I'm sad.

I needed a hatchback because I carry more cargo than people. I have read that the Cruze is available asa hatchback, just not in North America. I don't understand that.

Picked it up this weekend. Already put 200 miles on it.

I am very pleased!

I am looking forward to some pleasant miles in this vehicle.
