Quickie question bout your 02 svt

I'm doing a NON SVT Front/Rear brake conversion TO the SVT setup, I see you ground down your front calipers. 2 questions
a) The wheels in the top photos are these the wheels you used? My 2001 SE wheels look like those.
b) I'm told I HAVE to grind the calipers with this conversion TO CLEAR the STOCK wheel, if this will worl ABOUT HOW MUCH DO I TRIM? Is the trimming along the complete radius of the caliper?

I don't want to get stuck with having everything stripped and replaced THEN have to buy new wheels.

16" wheels or bigger will work on your car fine without any modifications. I'd suggest simply getting a set of low cost 16's rather that modifying the calipers unless you have a very good reason to stick with 15's.

My only reason for going with the 15 inch "snowflakes" was that i got like 16 of them for $200 = so basically disposable for rally use / practice/etc. The 15 Compomotives fit just fine, but at $300 a corner - ouch

I love the 16 4 Lug Ford PONY rims for tarmac events - hold great rubber sizes - especially the Yoko A048's (my track favorite for this car) =

IN terms of grinding the calipers - just do a patch about 2 inches by 3 inches - and with a flap sanding wheel on your grinder (do NOT USE STONE ) will take about a minute per caliper to give you another 1/16 clearance

plenty of meat on the svt calipers

you could also go away from SVT - as you all know - knuckles are not getting any easier to find.

we are actually toying with making some McPhereson hubs / knuckles so we can run a wider range of brakes, struts, bearings, etc (Subaru on a ford ???? OMG :)
