Thanks Twenty for your initial post.
Installed mudflaps today. Rears were easy once I used the jack to lift up the focus, gave me just enough room to tighten screws. Also got to do a dry run on how and where to use the stock jack.

I picked up some 18" x 48" clear vinyl for a steal! 12 cents a roll at a local place that is going out of business. Bought 5 rolls to find misc things to protect in the house too, thought I'd do 4 strips to protect under the splash guards. I think I will install these tomorrow if I have time. I just got the car back from getting tinted and have tons of homework to do. Lame.

[QUOTE=Twenty;3874847]Rear:
Note that I have a four-door Focus. Five-doors and wagons will use different parts and have a slightly different install procedure. As with the front, I started by cleaning the area and applying some clear vinyl to protect the paint that will be under the mudflap. This is the hardware included-with a sedan, the parts labeled 'G' are not used. You will note a small hole in the wheel well liner-the small clips labeled 'H' cover these. One on each side, pressed into place. Also note in the picture below, the screw in the lower left. Each side has two of these, which first have to be removed and then put back in once the mudflap is on. They require a T30-sized Torx bit. Great job

I got to installing mine yesterday. Those plastic pins they give you to secure the flaps suck! They were hard to slide into place to be honest. They work great on our first snow though. Wow.

Cheers!
They definitely work well, our current weather (I see you're in Calgary too) has been a good test.

Thanks for the post, Ive been looking into getting some rally armor mudflaps but still figuring out how to attach the back flaps, here is a link to them http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/univ...lus-p-337.html
I want a more aggressive look and the price is great too. I think Ive got what I need to figure out a rear mount for these universal flaps. Thanks again! |
