I was surprised by my dealer who said they knew of the hesitation and grinding problems with the old transmission. I only wanted them to check if I had the latest software and they said you need the latest transmission. They assured me that the new transmission will eliminate all the problems that the old transmission had. So far they are right. No grinding, hesitation, or rolling issues at all. Shifts are just like my S-Class Mercedes. Very smooth.

So, you're telling me that they can put a totally new and re-designed transmission in the 2012's? I didn't think that was possible, if I would've known that I could've requested that instead of a rebuild using a new version of the same defective parts that were in my car before. Well, I guess if I start to experience the problems I had before the rebuild on a more frequent basis this would be one last option. It's ashame because other than this transmission I really do like everything else about the car.....I would hate to have to give it up if there is one more thing to try.

Got mine back, too. It drives better than it did when I first got it! I had the eFocus mount installed, and did the "5-minute air intake/DCT mod" too, so it is like a brand new car.

It's nice to see that Ford is finally addressing the problem instead of giving the run around. My fingers are crossed for everyone.

From what I was told by the dealer, this is a whole new transmission that deals with the issues we all have been experiencing with the old transmission. Looks like from the others, I am not the only one that feels the car is like a totally different car. This is the transmission that Ford should have put in the first time then they wouldn't have had all the negative press regarding their DCT. Like the others, I hope this transmission will last. So far so good.

Dammit, I went to my dealer yesterday and was given the whole "it's normal, but Ford's working on a fix" B.S.

If anyone has a part number or any other info (like a part number or campaign or whatever) for the new gearbox, I'd be grateful to see it.

I really hope the new clutch they're putting in mine fixes my issues and a new transmission isn't required down the road.

Funny, I've got an SE as a rental while mines in the shop which makes my transmission feel smooth!!
