I've noticed that the DCT on my '13 is good until the temps get 100+. That's when the slipping through 1st gear rears its ugly head again. Unfortunately 100+ temps are the norm

I've been reading through the posts in this thread. I just bought a 2012 Ford Focus. I was not told about this transmission at all. My car was experiencing the shuddering at stop lights, jerking, and lurching. I took it back to the dealer twice before they finally told me about the tsb. They did the tsb and it drives better, but is still scary to drive. I was pulling out of a parking lot the other night when there was a loud grinding noise the car jerked then lunged forward. My car looks nice, but looks ain't everything.

Regarding the DCT update. Here is what my dealer had to say.

11-10-2 is no longer a valid bulletin, it has been superseded by 12-5-5, which now only applies to manual transmissions; the reason for this is Ford issued a recall , 12B37, which addressed 11-10-2 auto transmissions, so they made 11-10-2 obsolete.

Hope this helps.

I just talked to my dealer yesterday there were two updates, but they are older. He said Ford knows about the problems some people are having with their Focus's and he is sure they will come out with updates in the future. There is nothing new at this time. He told me to check back with him each time I come in for a service to see if there are updates.

I'm sure something under my hood or engine would be better - but I won't be using my $600 camera/phone. lol
