Guys, I just got developed a problem.

My car got the flash about 3 weeks ago. After the flash, I wouldn't experience any shuddering.

Today, the car is acting strange. When the car accelerates from a full stop, it would shudder as it goes from 1st to 2nd gear. I noticed that if I have it on Sport mode, starting from first if the rpm goes above 1500-1700 the shuddering would start and I would have to shift it to 2nd immediately.

I'm debating whether to bring it into Ford or if I should do the adaptive learning thing myself.

Edit:

I tried resetting the adaptive learning by unplugging the battery. And following the process outlined in the thread here. There's still a faint shudder, but it should disappear right?

I also finally got the trophy when I reset the adaptive learning! Lol

That was 80 KM/hr on the outer ring, MPH is in the center as they have a Canadian spec model.

80 KM/hr = 49.72 mph. (1.609 km/ mile).

It is not at night, as far as I see. Being a Canadian built and because of the enabled DRL, the lights are always lit on our dashboard.

Lol. It is a Canadian car so the outer ring is in kms.

I'm glad to report that the shuddering is gone for now. I've been driving light on the throttle this morning and it seems OK.

So I guess when you're in sport mode you shouldn't let the rpm's go above 2000 for the first 3 gears?

My Focus has a window sticker date of 6/18/12. I have less than 200 miles on the car. The DCT has been fantastic.
