What are the differences between the SVT and Zetec versions?

zetec JRSC is physically smaller it has the 450cc M45 blower vs 620 cc M62 blower.
zetec comes with injectors and the SVT maf and a different pulley. the alternator bracket may even be different.

i have a deal pending at the moment, so this may all be moot

As far as zetec/svt interchange I'm really surprised people still dont know the difference. The intake ports are different and the alternator sits in a slighlty different position. Those are the two main things to deal with when trying to use a svt intake on a non svt head. You would either have to attempt to slot the holes on the intake manifold and slide it around to line it up or find a regular zetec intake for the blower.

The regular zetec intake wont let the M62 blower bolt to it; the pattern is different and it wouldn't be a fun job to make new holes as the bolts go through the entire manifold.

The Intake runners have the same bolt pattern but as stated don't line up quite right. I ported the runners on the intake so it never blocked any open part of the runner on the head (this is around 1.5 mm at the bottom of the runner). It's not a perfect solution but it's working.

The alternator bracket does work with the stock zetec; the kits have 2 alternator mounts; the old design and the new design. All svt kits had the new bracket which is the better design.

To use the M62 blower you need to use an SVT focus Throttlebody.

The fuel rail and FPS is different, and I think the stock rail interferes with the larger blower but it looked like a bit of dremel work would allow clearance. Mine has the JR SVT rail on it with modifications; the end is capped off where the svt fuel inlet is, and I had the holes for the FPS drilled and tapped along with the inlet bored out to fit the stock FPS/inlet used by the standard zetec.

At 40k miles it shouldn't need any servicing. Mine was at 98k miles and all it needed was it's oil changed. Someone should snag this up, they are great for making decent power for cheap and are reliable as hell. GLWS.
