Again, awesome for you. Guess you are truly one of the lucky ones. I didn't experience these issues with 2.11 but your comment has changed my point of view. Maybe one day I will come to realize that constantly working around these issues that I didn't experience prior to being upgraded is really a good thing. Until then, I will continue to have to cycle through the map view or switch to the weather map and back in order to get my zoom level back to the set scale, I will continue to run reboots to get my Sirius traffic back on the map, I will continue to look at the screen when I ask it to play a song and roll my eyes at the 3 line of BS and tell it to play line #1 because that is what I said to begin with, and so on and so forth.

Again, good for you!
It could be that you use certain functions or features that I don't.

However, I can tell you that MFT is now very stable for me with the functions that I do use (voice commands, phone, nav, music player, usb drive, etc.).

I just wished mine just worked or I could go back in time and not got the MFT and got a after market Pionieer with more bells and whistles then the MFT, like the one in my Excursion. BTW, are we getting paid to betta test this MFT not ready for the market product, that we paid for?

Funny. I had the MFT and all I could use was power and volume in fear of it fritzing up... Even then it still did.

Harman manufactures many car audio equipment under many of their brand names. This holds true for any equipment, you can guarantee a component supplier... However that response was to another posters insistence that MS made uConnect which is entirely false in all aspects.

In fact alot goes for the uconnect system since it utilizes a head unit designed by the same company as the rest of the stereo system and probably only operates on one OS level vs 2 on the MFT.

We all know how BSquare's Java on top of Microsoft Mobile OS on a Sony sound system/HU worked out.

The navigation in my MFT won't keep a lock on my location. If it does, it does so only for a little bit then loses its mind completely. The navigation has done this three out of the four times, I have used it. However, with each successive use, I wised up and set my phone's navigation too. Essentially, I just did the nav only to compare it to my phone, knowing full well, that it will be sane for a bit and then lose it completely.

I'm GODDAMN ANGRY. I paid extra for the navigation. Nevermind that its traffic routing capability is non-existent. Just at least keep track of where I am. What the hell, this is a serious safety issue.

The guidelines in the rear view camera no longer stay very long. It used to be that I would set it and it would remain for a few times I park, but now its as if, it only holds the setting for only the session when it was set. Turn off the car and restart and its gone.

What recourse is available to me to get this rectified once and for all? This is too expensive to let go.

Do you wait for MFT system to boot before going into reverse? In the settings menu for rear camera--- There are 3 options listed. 1) rear camera delay on/off---- (2)guidelines ((this adds the gray boxes)) (?) on/off and (3) active/fixed auto ect 3 choices. Now, those options I use off, off and active/fixed (one on far left). I don't have issues with lines disappearing. But I do wait for system to completely boot up.

No, I don't always wait for it to boot completely? But what does that really mean? Is the boot complete when I see the quadrants? I shouldn't have to wait for anything to boot on principle. It's a car first, a computer second.

I don't know if any other infotainment system requires the user to wait for complete boot before they can make sure the nav stays sane. And besides, there is no navigation until after the whole thing has booted completely.

This thing is just a fail.

My uConnect does not need to wait before you can use it.

You are right about the MFT it is utter fail.. I am surprised that the car press stopped covering it. I think customers need to be kept aware of current issues with cars.
