As far as adding it as a contact - I have found that MFT will only import those contacts that have a first and last name associated with them. If the contact has just an organization name, such as "sams club" or "county police", then MFT ignores it.

I'll figure out a way, I just assumed, silly me, that it was going to work. It wouldn't have mattered if my phone wasn't in my bag in the back.

Those examples could be easily given first and last names to work that way.
First Name: Sams
Last Name: Club

First Name: County
Last Name: Police

So, for 911, possibly
First Name: 911
Last Name: Emergency

Or would the numeric name cause issues as well? If so, then maybe
First Name: Nine
Last Name: Oneone

My phone doesn't require or have an option for 1st name, last name. It's just name. I have several contacts that are just one word and work in MFT. I'll test adding a 912 contact and see if MFT will dial it.

Likewise. For my wife I just have it loaded as "Kelly" under first name and nothing for last. "Call Kelly" works fine. Maybe it is the number thing in contacts that could cause issue? Maybe list first name as "nineoneone"? Don't know. I've never tried using a number in a contact, first name or last.

912 worked perfectly. Thanks for the idea R1CH999999, I'll now have 911 as a contact.

Remind me again - are you on iOS? The samsung contacts app on my Android phone apparently has more fields that MFT has trouble mapping to.?
