I've never heard from anyone where their Shuffle "LED" lights up!

Do you have Autoplay turned on? It's somewhere in the BT settings.

Are the hardware specs for the MFT module (I think it's called an "APIM") available? Does it have, for instance, a real-time clock in it?

I could see software that gets busy and fails to update the display regularly. But time jumping ahead or back or drifting seems to suggest that the time is being maintained in software, driven perhaps by some timer interrupt, and it would be missing that interrupt or having the storage for the time value overwritten (eek).

If there's hardware out there ticking away -- as with the GPS in the nav module --, and software reads it to display, then the worst that should happen is that the display isn't always updated.

Mine lights up too, with the previous 3.0 and the buggy 3.2

The only sure way I can get mine to light up is to use the Sync voice command "Shuffle On". Of course, I have to do this every time the car is started even if the Shuffle Button light is lit to actually get my iPod to shuffle songs.

I can toggle the on screen lights by using "Shuffle On" & "Shuffle Off" voice commands.

An interesting thing occurs when I say "Shuffle On"... the response from the "Sync Lady" is "Shuffle Off On".

Anyone notice the lack of MFT reviews out now...
Recent ones are non-existent, either it is of no interest or Ford is doing a good job of damage control (hiding it) from the media.

That and everyone already knows its a joke. Laughing stock of the car industry right now. Every other company has a good infotainment system except Ford.

The latest recurring bug for me, is that I use the nav frequently with the voice directions on mute. If I turn off the car for an extended prior mid-route, it loses ALL voice feedback, even outside the nav function. A master reset is the only thing that will get it back.
MFT is a barely functional POS. Warn all potential customers to avoid it any chance you get.

I talked to a Ford customer service manager on the phone 4 days ago & she told me that Ford was planning to introduce a new MFT software update by the end of 2012. She mentioned improved cell phone connectivity/compatibility as one of the expected improvements to MFT. Man, this can't come soon enough for me.

Don't hold your breath, been promised multiple times before and Fix Or Repair Daily failed to deliver each time. Maybe she was referring to the same buggy 3.2.2 being re-released.
