Last night while using navigation I got the Windows error dialog. The system then locked up, I lost all audio, then it rebooted. What this meant was that I had a good 5 minutes where I had no navigation while in the middle of trying to get to a destination.

My wife was able to get a picture of the error screen.

I can't wait until my lease is up on this car and I can get rid of it. Ford did pay me back one month's lease payment, but it just isn't even close to enough. I leave this car parked in the driveway most of the time now and drive my work truck when given the chance. What a waste.

Well at least you had the turn list on screen so you had some idea where to go. Lets call that a feature!

It would be, except for the part where about 30 seconds after this picture was taken the screen went completely out while the system rebooted, er, I mean "Performed Scheduled Maintenance" and then slowly came back on-line.

The best was the phone call that tried to come through while the system was about 75% rebooted. Thankfully the caller stayed on the line while the system fought to connect through the rebooting Sync. Once the call was complete the system froze up again and went through another reboot. If I add up both of those then I had about 10 minutes of the trip with no navigation and about 4 minutes with a completely black screen.

Hey that's the error box I saw - good catch!

When it happened to me it was on screen for less than 5 seconds. I couldn't get the camera on my phone to load fast enough to snap a photo.

I forget who it was (and what thread it was...), but someone asked about my climate control getting fixed. I took it to the dealer and they updated / flashed the APIM or something and it works now.

It was me. I was just curious as to how they would fix it, whether it would be 3.2.2 or not. A Focus owner over at SMR had the climate issue and the dealership reflashed the system and reinstalled 3.0.2 as a fix. Just wondering if you were going to get rolled back or get a working 3.2.2.

A working 3.2.2! I have climate and the outside temperature (not to mention the navigation inputs are a tad quicker).

Hmm... I haven't tried voice commands of the climate yet - something I never really used.

Can you check just to confirm what version you have.

Press "gears" in bottom middle, then Help, Then system information. It'll say mid-way down something to the effect of CCPU S/W version 4.28.12xxx.
