Damn, I don't want to have to pull the fuses, they are a pain to get to. (Its fuse 67 and something else, whats the other fuse?)
Yes, pull usb after message. There was a readme.txt file included with the delayedboot.cab when i downloaded it from the web. It explains how to use it, you can read it on your computer.

Not sure what fuses to pull, I've never done that or a master reset.

Just had a thought - my pos phone is pretty much dunzo so i was going to get a galaxy nexus straight from google when they go back on sale with 4.1 jellybean next week. Ford better include compatibility for that os as i hear there are issues with ice cream sandwich phones and sync. I don't need my new phone wildly disconnecting and reconnecting.

I'm more concerned with them fixing the system as a whole rather than worrying about the small number of people who will even get Jellybean when it comes out. Needs of the many > needs of the few.

Not to mention that if Jellybean doesn't work it's not Ford's fault, it's Google's and whoever manufactured the phone. Ford only puts the standards (Bluetooth, MAP texting, etc.) in place in the system, it's up to the manufacturer of the phone and OS to make sure the phone is compatible with those standards and works well.

My ICS has been working far better than my Gingerbread OS ever did. Though, this is a custom ROM - so I think feta_mpg is right. It's the phone manufacturer's job to make sure they're compatible.

Unfortunately this is especially the case with Android devices since not only are there so many of them, but they have differing hardware specs, differing OS versions, and differing features depending on the manufacturer and whether or not they have added their own "overlay" on top of the bare Android system.

Yes, this happens to me from time to time, especially when I start up the car after being away for just a few minutes. It seems that the MFT bluetooth connection needs time to reset itself, so I guess that's why my iphone almost always connects properly when I start the car after being away for an extended period of time. I don't understand why the reset time can't be shortened so that quick stops while running errands, etc. won't be such a problem with bluetooth. My bluetooth connection is supposed to always be on so there is no need to ask if I want to turn it on.

I get annoying messages with the Nav system also. It will tell me something about a Nav error or that I have a Nav card installed.

Ford, please fix these irritating MFT problems!!!

I don't want to re-post everything here, but I just completed a 2,000 mile trip in my Focus and encountered a litany of MFT issues. They're described in detail in my trip report thread:

After losing my Travel Link/Traffic Info on the Nav screen a few days ago (yet again but still showed as subscribed) and then becoming unsubscribed to all services this morning I finally got fed up and downloaded the delayed reboot this morning at work. Threw it on a drive and ran out in the morning, fired up the car, put the drive in and it installed the app. Shut down and went back into work. Got in to leave about 7 hours later and didn't see the "scheduled maintenance" screen but it had obviously rebooted (first indication no street location under the compass on the home screen which always happens after a crash/reboot or master reset). Ran through indexing again and gave me all the safety "use voice while driving" talk, etc. etc.

So if you wait long enough it just does it all while the car is down? I've just seen others say they come back and see the reboot screen which is why I am wondering.

Oh yeah, and the reboot brought all my Travel Link/Traffic back to both subscribed and displaying on the map (meaning this is definitely an MFT glitch and not a problem with Sirius).
