I just wanted to say.... Navigation is improved, but there are still some bugs.

I tried a Destination POI... for nearby and Target.. the screen was blank but it asked what line to choose. I chose line 1 twice and it finally showed the nearest Target and allowed me to set it as the destination. But it never showed me my actual choices.

Also, on my way to work this morning, I couldn't get my iPhone to select 'Shuffle'. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting and it wouldn't work. I ended up choosing 'Album' shuffle first and that allowed me to select 'All' shuffle. ???

Update:
Apparently, my dealer now understands the significance of the 11A02 status. If your car was on a dealer lot when the list was made by Ford, YOU WILL NOT GET AN UPDATE PACKAGE USB OR SD NAV CARD BY MAIL. My service adviser called me back this morning and said they had located a SD Nav card for my car and we are doing the update at the dealer tomorrow morning. I am glad we finally got through this.

FORD REALLY NEED TO LET THEIR DEALERS KNOW ABOUT THIS SITUATION. The dealers do not know about this at all. Everyone on this board who has been in this position has had to argue with, educate and pursue their dealer to get them to understand that some of us will not get an update in the mail. I could have been sitting around for weeks waiting for a non-existent update package. Just my opinion, but this seems like the worst way to deal with a customer who just bought a new car.

Hopefully, all will go well tomorrow at the dealer. Right now, I'm aggravated and tired.

I find that really interesting. Was the blank screen the voice recognition match screen? That's the exact same problem I had with 2.11 with... you guessed it: Target. And apparently only Target. Never got past the blank match screen though. I wonder if it has something to do with the way we pronounce the word Target. That said, I haven't reproduced it on 3.0.2. The bug for 2.11 is open here: http://bugs.outofmytouch.com/issues/8

It wasn't very easy to get to him, but it was possible. I did not go through the sync support menu option though, I went through the 'other' menu option, and weeks of emails.

All of my buttons turned red one day I started up. I had to touch every single one to reset them. Fuse pull did not work.

Interesting... Yes, it was the voice match screen to select which line I said.

I'll try it again tomorrow with a different POI name. Maybe it is just Target!

That's actually a bit encouraging. If I can get a dependable re-creatable scenario for my missing, radio frequency display, I will give it a shot and see if I can work my way up to someone that can actually log the problem...giving it some chance to get fixed in a future release. Guess I just have to be prepared to be persistent and patient.

basically, the names of your old "favorites" in mft are retained and the system still remembers them. so when you go to try and re-add them, you have to completely rename the places to new names.

I've come across this. You can access your list using the voice command "Navigation > Play Nametags" (or something close to that) and it'll read all the options. More things are definitely listed than what's on-screen. I have 3 favorites (Home + two others) and it lists 5 nametags.

Can't figure out any place where the nametags can be edited. And a Master Reset did nothing for me - they're still there.
Update...

My car has been at the dealer since *Monday* (yes, 3+ days and counting) and they still can't sort this out. Supposedly they have disconnected the battery, done a master reset, and completely wiped/re-installed the MFT system multiple times and the old nametags are still in the system. They said they're talking with Ford Corporate to try and sort it out, but there's no ETA on when I'll get my car back at this point. Seems crazy that wiping the entire system doesn't erase the old favorites but that's what they're telling me the situation is.
