my 22 year old car has a washer fluid level light... if I just barely let off the gas it comes on (super sensitive and in the perfect spot for it)

You guys can have it, I cant stand it lol. been meaning to get some fluid.

I don't have my car yet, but if anyone is curious as to if their car really has this capability they could always open their hood and look at their washer fluid reservoir for a sensor.....

EDIT: Just found on the service manual that it does have a level sensor....and it is tied into the BCM and then sends info to the instrument cluster to display the message. Honestly, I'd be cool with a "dummy light" instead of some sparkly ipod inspired LCD message.

That is not working correctly on top of that!

No doubt. It looks as though the sensor is the usual type of sensor for something like this. Its nothing too crazy. Maybe the BCM needs input from the integrated sextant to correlate positioning of the little dipper before relaying info through the Knuter valve and then onto the cluster?? Why do they always have to overcomplicate things.

maybe it'll be a programming issue. If my car has this problem when I take delivery I'm going to get a work order entered into the system and I'll look into it (how many people can say they get paid to fix their own car? haha).

In the meantime, I would love for anyone to provide updates if they get a chance to see the dealer about it.

There is no washer fluid sensor. Or rather, there is a sensor but it isn't connected to anything.

CORRECTION: There is a sensor connection afterall, although it still doesn't show a warning on my car.

...the prongs are visible on the socket but there are no wires. It looks like they allowed for it in the reservoir design but decided to save a few bucks by not wiring it to the BCM.
Well, someone said they saw the message. Perhaps we all should check? Maybe this was a big mistake on Ford's part!

My mistake, there is an electrical circuit for the sensor in the manual. And it is connected on mine, the wiring harness comes in from a different side than shown in the manual, which is how I missed it.

I have asked about this "no windshield light or message" at my dealer and he told me that my 30k$ Titanium sport package does not have this feature...
