I've had mine on since the end of May 2012 and it's been through the car wash countless times and still looks like the day I put it on. I've even hosed it down numerous times with a high pressure washer to get bugs off and the tape is still as new.

Make sure you don't have silicone or similar slippery stuff on the grill before you apply. If I remember correctly I washed it first then I applied about 35% IPA (Isopropyl alcohol) with a micro-fiber cloth to make sure all oils and waxes were off it.

Maybe it's the just mood I'm in today but I lol'ed when I read that.

It's just like applying a decal. You need a clean surface to work on to ensure proper adhesion. Then make sure it's on there good by rubbing back over it with a cloth or your fingers. You shouldn't have a problem after that. I've taken a power washer to it at the car wash to clean the bugs off after road trips. Still perfect!

It had to be dirty or a film on there he could'nt see. That little test I did I had to pick at it like crazy to get it started and only 1 of the 4 pieces came off in 1 piece.I even thought at the time if I do it,its not going any where. lol

Looks really good
I like how it looks with the license plate, I keep looking at mine and thinking that it looks bare. Maybe I should look into getting a decorative plate for it...

This looks SO awesome! I would have never considered doing something like this because I'd be afraid I would mess it up, but it really looks easy.

Has anyone went to remove it after months/years of use and had any problems?

It's just a vinyl pin stripe so I don't think you would have any issues removing it. I would look into how well decals and things normally remove to get a better idea.

It is 0.25" width pin stripe. This kind of thing: http://www.amazon.com/Sharpline-R212...206+Argent+Met

You can buy it cheaper in just about any auto parts store, I just linked this one for reference. I bought mine at autozone and the part was Prostripe R21206 Argent Met. 1/4 x 40 and it cost $4.99.

I would make sure that you get the silver, it matches the other chrome trim on the car whereas the chrome colored one doesn't look right. I believe that there are some pictures in the thread from someone who tried chrome instead of silver and it didn't work too well.

You can also do other colors, I have seen some done in red before that looked quite good.

Does this only work if your grill has the piano black grill? Mine is a regular grill and the surface is rough and plastic instead of smooth and shiny.
