You've got to do 1/4", 1/8" is just too small. .25 covers the black lines on the grill perfectly. It takes no more than 25 mins to do the whole front (with scissors). Do it neat and tight then judge it, not just on 4 dinky lines in the corner like that lol. Give it a proper shot son you won't be disappointed!

And if no likey, take it off

This is a more recent photo. I saw a plain SGM front end the other day, looked naked without the striping!

Looks good The front end looks so much more complete with the striping. What does SGM stand for?

That's what I thought after just doing some of it but after doing the whole front I am really happy with it. I would definitely finish it as it only takes a minute to take it off again. I used 1/4" silver pinstriping which covered the whole black strip, I imagine that 1/8" would only cover half of it and I don't know if that would look as good. Also if you look earlier in this thread there is a picture that someone else posted of a white FF that has the stripes. I think it looked quite good as well

SGM= Sterling Grey Metallic which is Ford's name for this particular shade of Grey.

A few other common colors are BC= Blue Candy Metallic, RC=Red Candy Metallic, WP = White platinum, OX= Oxford White, YBTC= Yellow Blaze Tricoat Metallic, FGM= Frosted Glass Metallic, ISM= Ingot Silver Metallic, RR = Race Red Metallic, PB= Performance Blue Metallic, Kona= Kona Blue Metallic, TS= Tangerine Scream Metallic, Tux. = Tuxedo Black Metallic, Ebony = Ebony black metallic, Sonic = Sonic Blue Metallic, etc...

Well that's pretty much all the colors and acronyms now. lol

I've seen the pinstripe on Frosted Glass and it looks nice, but I'll probably go a different way.

To ensure it doesn't fall off in rain; after you apply it, get a cloth and rub down on each strip especially the corners where it tends to pop, that way it will make a good seal.
