So I haven't posted here for awhile. I have done a lot of stuff to the focus in the last month or so, and I thought it would be a good idea to put up a thread showing what it looked like when I bought it and what it looks like now. I'll try not to post EVERY picture I have. [dunno]

When I bought it, it was a mess. But I got a great deal on it. I don't have any pics of when I picked it up, but it had pretty bad hail damage. The windshield was busted up pretty bad, dent in the hood where previous owner shut it on the prop, and the Saleen wing was completely destroyed. It also had ugly yellow stuff all over it. Calipers, underhood wiring, strut tower brace. [thumbd][thumbd][thumbd] I did all the major maintenance, plugs, brakes, and complete mechanical inspection. Engine had 2 burned valves, so minor engine rebuild was done. All new valves and lifters. Had hail dents removed / repaired.

It's been a long road to where it is now, but it's almost where I want it.

A list of everything I've added since then, and pics.

Black corner markers

Sirius satellite install, replaced antenna with sirius antenna from late model mustang

Steeda RAI

Repaint yellow calipers red

The rest has been done just within the last 3 or 4 weeks.

Remove side moldings

Added decals [race][race][race]

Replaced all silver interior pieces with black

Black housing headlights

Shift knob

Painted strut tower brace black and replaced yellow wiring with new fuel harness

And finally, replaced hood - no scoop, replaced grill, added painted door handles and SVT folding / heated mirrors, and added new Motegi MR121 wheels - 17 x 7

This is how it sits as of today. Enjoy! [wave]

A better pic of the finished result. Painted vents on the sides of the bumper flows well with the brake calipers.

Looking through this thread, I realize I forgot to post pics of the SVT seats. Picked them up this summer at Carlisle. My apologies for omitting this important piece of the Saleen. lol

Even with all the changes, I want to keep as much Saleen DNA in the car as I can. So i replaced the pistol grip shifter with the Saleen billet and leather knob found in the 06 to 09 Saleen Mustangs. While I was at it, got a new shift boot. Also ordered a new Pioneer DVD receiver today to replace the stock stereo.

Please ignore the dirty carpet. It hasn't been driven in awhile.

Removed the secondary air injection system today since it was so nice out. The fan wasn't working anyway, and I'll take care of the engine code when I get a tune.

And here's why the fan wasn't working. When you open up an electric motor, and there's water inside, that's usually not a good sign.

All the rest of the stuff I took off.

Removing all that junk cleaned up the engine bay a little bit.

How it used to look.

Are you part of our Facebook page? Search for Focus Rising Oklahoma. We have a meet coming up next weekend here in OKC.

We don't really have a set schedule. Just whenever some of us can get together. Next weekend is Coffee and Cars here in OKC. There are 3 or 4 Tulsa guys driving down. You should drive down if you can. It's at 8 on the corner of Pennsylvania and Memorial. Huge parking lot. Always lots of nice rides.

Sanded and painted the radio surround from the install kit to match the rest of the interior.

It's a small thing I know, but I put a custom background image on the head unit. Just for that extra little touch.

Nice touch. I like it!
