The difference is quite a bit more than I was expecting.

But yeah, the installation was pretty straight forward (thanks to this thread- I knew what size torx key to buy!) For those of us with the winter package, taking off the boot is particularly easy. You just reach (your hand) through the "access hole" and push on the clip at the rear of the boot. No screwdriver lever action required.

I just felt guilty hiding the gorgeous pieces from the view. The damn aluminum spacer alone is achingly beautiful.

This was one of the easiest installs i've ever done. The shift feel is way better then the stocker.

thatnks for the right up! one easy install compared to the directions. it took me less than a half hour, feels great!

Can anybody tell me if the "inner cable" is the lock washer?

After installing my STS, it's harder to shift into the gates (like the alignment of the cables was knocked off.)

How can I adjust this? I tried the orange tab adjustment to center the shifter. The problem isn't that the knob is off center, but that is takes some fiddling to get it into first gear quickly when a light turns green. There's also often two notches, like it goes half way into first then when I start to depress the clutch it takes it the remainder of the way. Gears 2-6 are slightly better than first, and reverse is perfect.

Here's some pictures of my CFM STS @ the lowest setting for reference. The shift knob is a white Razo rally knob. The shifter is in 1st gear.
