This talk of Abilene has got me checking out things that direction.
I think I may have to attend Christmas at Old Fort Concho in San Angelo the first weekend of December now.

guess I am in the minority when I say since it's a car meet I enjoy driving our cars more than sitting around and sharing stories (though it was a blast at the last meet) I vote to keep it in Austin because there really isn't a road like lime creek and have been going back to the road for near a decade now.
Yes the last one was a bit too big if anything but nothing that can't be remedied next time around (posting of the route, different place to eat (don juan's anyone? lol) but I think double dave's was a good idea to chill after. |

I tried to keep it Dave and Busters because their restaurant is big enough and staffed enough that we enjoy lunch and can occupy an area. I can't think of any other restaurant that can do that.
We were cramped at Salt Lick and some had to sit outside. People said they were tired of D&B, but how do you get tired of something, most of you only do once a year? The idea is not about driving your car, you can do that at home. It's about the meeting and sharing information with others and checking out all the different mod styles. Thanks for the feedback. We will keep looking for ways to change it up and hope keep the participation numbers up. |

Abilene would be good for more out of staters for sure. But for me it'd be too far to go in 2012. 2013 would be a yes. Missed this years as I had just joined the forum and couldn't be off weekends at my former job. Was hoping it would hit Houston in 2012 but I say whatever is best for overall turnout and fun.
