I have increased my mileage by 4-6 miles per gallon, I installed a K&N cold air intake, E3 spark plugs, and I added a 3.5 inch rear most muffler removing the center muffler. This also gave me a horsepower increase of about 12-15.

What I am currently searching for is a rear window louver, but I can't find anyone who sells one.

what part number did you find the for E3 plugs? Right now I'm running the stock plugs but have the ground strip cut a bit away so that the middle of the electrode is open.

I'm not trying to be a wise ass or anything but I have to questions these claims...

First, how did you quantify the HP gains? I have a tough time believing a 12-15 gain.

Even more unlikely is the 4-6mpg increase.

Let's face it, if these kinds of gains were real why would Ford NOT do them as the cost would be near zero and they'd bitch slap the competition big time.

So, how did you verify these gains?

Oh, one of YOU people.

Back on topic. You might want to get one of those Scangauge dealies installed so you can see your instant MPG's. Might help you find out what works better or worse while you're tweaking stuff.

I only have 300 miles on mine and already I am seeing upwards of 40 MPG on the highway and 34 MPG after getting in heavier stop and go traffic. I can't wait to see what it will be like after break in.

He has an 05, not a mk3. I'm not sure why people keep posting to the mk3 thread with old cars.

Drove on the freeway over a longer period instead of in town traffic and found I can actually get over the recommended high end of advertised MPG. Most of my trips are short, non-freeway, so when I take a longer freeway trip to improve mileage it feels GOOD!

I let my wife drive and for the first time since purchase I've seen the flower for mileage on the dash! That's what I've done... LOL

Put a pretty cool sticker on my back window. Butt dyno says it somehow changed the aerodynamics of the vehicle which is giving me smoother and cooler riding capabilities.

I'll do an analysis later of how many microns the sticker is raised and how that plus the unique shape of said sticker is creating this airflow retorquing variance.
