How did you paint the roof, spray can or air compressor and paint gun?

Spray can Rustoleum gloss black paint; it's the first time I've used this paint and it looks very good so far. I have a spray gun to use for body color paint but I have yet to try it out. It's easier and probably just as cheap to simply get rattle cans in black and clear (as long as the quality of paint doesn't bite me in the long run); not so when getting paint mixed in Sonic Blue.

My little projects so far today.

first was a quick wash down under the hood. It's not great but it's the first time I've ever done it for this car so it is a massive improvement.

Polished the headlight for the final time. The lenses are now finished.

Before:

After:

And lastly, I sanded, repainted, and clear coated the roof. I wish I could start sanding and polishing it but it always goes better if you give the paint a few day to dry before doing anything.

High pressure water, a little bit of mineral spirits for a little oil, and all purpose cleaner I use for the exterior. Nothing fancy but it's not going to stay clean for very long considering how dusty the roads are right now.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I removed the pinstriping and some of the stickers yesterday. There's only two stickers left and they are on the endangered species list as well.

Took a vacation day today and went for a little ride in the back country.

Unfortunately, it started out like this, but I cant really complain because we needed this rain so bad. Things are getting really dry here.

A little less rain

Even better.

Almost done raining.

All the above pictures were taken on a road I've never been on before and there were some nice photoshoot places, but because of the rain, I couldn't get any really good pictures.

It stopped raining just before I got to my stop off place for the bike.

And a couple on the way back home

The car started the trip freshly cleaned but this is what it looked like by the time it hit pavement again.
