E-brake replacement day. I hope it's not to bad, but it will really be great having parking brakes that don't stick when wet.

The E-brake is in. It went really well without any major issues. The hardest part was getting off and putting on the heat shield because of all the corrosion but that was to be expected.

By chance did you see if it's possible to break open the plastic of the ebrake? I'm gonna see if I can replace that spring or have to replace all of it today after work.

Sorry but no, I never had to do anything with the handle. Everything I needed to do was under the car. I'll go look at mine sometime and see if I can figure it out, it shouldn't be that hard once you figure out how.

No problem. It was my cable that broke at the disk end so I had to replace the the cables under the car.

I quickly looked at my handle and can't figure out how to take it about. You can take the leather boot off and see all the clicking mechanisms but I don't know how to get behind the bottom to the spring that must be back there.

Haha, How do you take the leather boot off? I'm going to need to do that to replace it. I know how to get the shift boot off, but just quickly thinking about it I couldn't figure out how to get the boot off the e-brake.
