^^ Thanks. The shelf was pretty easy to make because it was all squares except for the face plate. That was the hardest because of the rounded shape of the trim.

For the past week, I have been working on making a sub box for the back of the car and got to do a lot of work on it today. Here is what it start the day looking like.

And how it finished the day.

I am done with all the funny angles and stuff trying to fit it in the car tighter. Now it should go a lot smoother and I maybe able to get the system up and running by next weekend. Maybe.

My plan for it is to put the amp in the little square near the floor and put the drivers side speaker above that. The sub will go to the left of all that and the whole box will be lined with the same materiel the shelf was made out off. I'm really just making it up as I go but things are slowly starting to fall into place.

I like the concept for your box and stuff, but usually they are made of mdf. Not sure you might be ok but its going to take a lot of sealant. Is it being built to the spec of the sub your going to put in it?

No, wood it not ideal from what I know and I will probably switch most of it out with plywood or something, but it much easier to cut and shape all this free wood than it is to waste a bunch of plywood. I was planning on using just the wood until recently, but the more I read up on this, the worst it sounds. However, since I had most of it cut, I figured I might as well finish building it with wood and then make a final product using a better wood and making a better fitting box. That is one reason why there are so many random screws all over holding everything together. Hopefully I can finish most of the building part today and get to wiring in the next few days.

And the answer is yes to the spec size. Or at least as close as I can get it considering all the angles.

Well thats good practice then lol, when you research you will probably find that 3/4" mds is your best bet on material to use

I've done a lot of "practice" on this car. lol

Well, building the sub box went much faster than I thought it would. I got started on the final box yesterday and just couldn't put it down till I was done. Plus, having the wooden pattern made it so much easier to build. Everything is all hooked up and running but I haven't tuned it because I didn't really want to wake the neighbors on a Sunday night. I'll get some pictures of it tonight.

Here it is. I decided to simplify it a little to make it easier to seal up. I know it still look like a mess but it is a work in progress. Next step is painting the A, B, and C pillar trim pieces before I start trimming in and painting the sub box.

ignore how it's being held in the car right know. That's only temporary so it doesn't fall over or slide all around the car until I get the floor built up to hold in in.

What I've been up to for the past few days. Coloring the headliner black and painting the A, B, and C pillar trim black along with everything else on the roof. This is as far as I've gotten so far. Ignore the different darkness in some places on the headliner, I had to go over some spots twice and they may be a little wet plus the flash on the camera makes it look crappy compared to in person.
