What inspired you to take the photo?
I wanted to catch the Mitchell sitting still with the props rolling. I shot this from behind a fence about 50 feet away. I only had one chance before they shut it down.

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
Get closer and use a filter. Maybe even ask the fellow in the photo to move.

What inspired you to take the photo?
It was a cool, foggy day, and I had never been to Arlington National Cemetery before. My mom is handicapped, so we were fortunate enough to be able to use our rental car to get everywhere (the place is HUGE). As we were approaching the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, I noticed the hill and the head stones in the photo. At first I drove by, but then after a few seconds, I had to stop the car. I asked myself, "When will you see that view again? Why did you just drive by it?" So I told my mom that I'd regret it forever if I didn't capture what I just saw, and I got out of the car to make the 5 minute walk back to the spot where this photo was taken (couldn't turn the car around). We missed the changing of the guard because I went back for this photo, but I think it was worth it.

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
I would have taken extra photos to piece together a panoramic shot. To the right of the camera was a wide open space, with hundreds of other graves visible from this spot. But there's still time to do it again! It just gives me another reason to make a return voyage!

Note:
That is all I really have. I dont really have any great pictures, but people can look through there id they like. I have to give some photo credit to my dad though. He has taught me and my girlfriend everything we know. Here is his smugmug if you feel like posting that! He has alot of cool pics. http://klicksbykris.smugmug.com/

What inspired you to take the photo?
My girlfriend, Sarah, needed a Fall photo picture for photography. We took a few and this was our favorite. She of course got the original version for her fall color, and I put a yellow-tinted black and white effect on it. Then the next day we entered it on a radio station for their photo contest. We made it to the top 50 out of 580 pictures! So anyone who wants to vote for us please do! Here is the link for that: http://989radionow.clearcontests.com...7F87BDAFB97E86

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
If I had the chance, I would actually take the picture more during the Fall time. Only half the trees had some color, so that was mainly why I put the effect on it. Also, maybe I could throw leaves up in the air and then kiss. We did that a few times after but just holding hands, not kissing. lol
Many thanks to everyone who voted for me!! Plus, a big thank you goes to Sarah and my dad, Kris.

How do you feel your photo connected with the theme?
Perfectly, I think. Very few things says "warmth" like the sun on your face.

What inspired you to take the photo?
Nature Itself inspiration, here. I have always loved sunsets, and my location was top notch, not to mention timing. It took weeks to finally have the right amount of clouds to blast the sky with Gods beauty, and it was worth every second of waiting.

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
Learn more about my camera, better lens/filter/light combo. Oh, and since taking this shot(using the self timer) I have gotten a remote, which will improve timing dramatically.

How do you feel your photo connected with the theme?
This photo of Penny was during a time of new beginnings. It was my roommate's first dog, and we were Penny's new family. She was only a couple months old when I took this (only at the house for about 2 weeks, though), and everything was new for her. In this specific case, we had just installed a "security" fence to make sure she didn't escape from the yard. She was being curious and poked her head between the supports to see what I was doing, but for the first time ever, she couldn't get her head back out. She stopped trying to fit her head in between the supports after that!

What inspired you to take the photo?
My roommate didn't have many photos of Penny, so she asked me to take a few to share with everyone.

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
I'd spend more time trying to get the focus perfect. I think I could have gotten her eyes better in focus (this bothered me for MONTHS afterward). Believe it or not, I almost trashed this photo because it wasn't exactly what I wanted. I'm glad I didn't!

How do you feel your photo connected with the theme?
The colors just really popped to me and everything in the image is alive.

What inspired you to take the photo?
The Nikon Rep. was at the school demo-ing some new lenses and equipment. I saw a bee and decided to try it out.

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
This shot was on the spot.. No real set-up time. I think for the circumstances, I wouldn't change anything.

How do you feel your photo connected with the theme?
The snake is green!

What inspired you to take the photo?
I used to own several snakes.

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
Try to get a better background.

How do you feel your photo connected with the theme?
Well, the theme was "get wet" and my picture was of a street drain right after a pretty hefty storm. There was about 6 inches of standing water in that part of the street. Everything was wet. That's why I feel it connected with the theme.

What inspired you to take the photo?
The way all the water was draining looked really cool, so I just wanted to get a picture of it. Ended up turning out pretty cool, actually.

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
Better camera, more shots of the same location.

How do you feel your photo connected with the theme?
Plenty of parties find a way to fill up ash trays, even if they're not the ones I frequent.

What inspired you to take the photo?
I really liked the way the light was coming through the tree above the ash tray, making it look like a pseudo graveyard.

What would you do differently if you had the chance to take it again in the same setting?
If I could go back and do it again I would definitely use a tripod so that I could use a lower ISO and smaller aperture for less noise and greater depth of field.
