My setup isnt loud at all I would recommend this since its performance and looks rather then cut off one thing a put another on. 2.5" cat back is the way to go.

The Ford guys near here were loving the sound because its so deep. They asked me Mr. Moser did you already swap out the 4 for a v6? They had a SHO with exhaust there and it sounded so similiar.

Two light coats of Rust-Oleum High Heat flat black (BBQ paint).

Some will find it boring, but as you can tell by the bike hitch, practicality wins on my ride. Still haven't seen any dyno results on the cat back systems so this is it for now.

I like the powercoated muffler. Tips stick out too much for my tastes though.

Wow! it's great to see everyones sucess. All of the cars look great. Now that we have 5k on the Borla muffler. I can say I am 100% satisfied. I knew Borla was the right way to go.

hey guys,,, can u help me out here? while i really like the look of the dualies on the cars you guys have shown here i don't think i wanna go thru the whole replacing the muffler thing. I already did that w/ my previous focus and i guess i'm over the loud (louder?) exhaust thing and would prefer to maintain the OEM quiet muffler. To that end i was thinking of just cutting off the tailpipe end, making a cut out in the 'diffuser', and adding on a nice chrome exhaust tip, preferably a dual tip.
Any ideas or suggestions? Has anyone done this already? I thought i saw a pic someone posted of this but i can't seem to find it again. thnx

I hear ya cobie. I have a loud fast car .. I love my Focus because it is so quiet. I decided not to do the dual exhaust because I dont want to risk making my car anything but the beautiful silence it now is.

I put a Borela 40477 dual exhaust muffler on my 2012 Focus. I really like the sound - not much louder than stock just a little more throaty. I particularly like the looks of the duals. However, My wife thinks the resonance is a tad too loud for her so I am going to remove it. I paid $252.00 for the Borela but will sell it for $150.00 if anyone is interested. Finally Got around to having my Borla Duals installed. i left all the mufflers and resonators in it i did not want this to be loud i did this mainly for looks. i think it turned out great it gave me a nice little rumble.

If anyone is interested I this same Borla muffler for sale. It was on my car for a few weeks but I had to remove it because the de-acceleration resonance was a tad too loud for my wife. I really liked the sound of the muffler but have to please the wife you know. I paid $252 for the muffler and will sell it for $150. Call me at 252-561-6531 if interested.
