Ripped off by Ford...
I went into the dealer today to get a new gauge cluster window, mine has a hairline crack on the bottom lefthand corner and it appears that the previous owner used some cleaner that was too strong for plastic, it looks like there's moisture on the inside of the cluster, but it doesn't come off (I opened it up to clean it from the inside and nothing happened.) The part was $55, I was thinking maybe $30, but $55 for a piece of clear plastic?!? Talk about getting ripped off...

that is b/s man, another attempt by a dealership to take advantage of people and their problems. look other places, i'm sure you can find a much more reasonable price for something like that.

Dealerships always jack up prices. I lost one of my cup holders and they wanted 13 bucks for a new one, just one!!!!! Went to ebay, got two for 9 bucks or so.

yeah i needed a new trim peice in my mustang...it was the peice around the shifter...came with boot..
so I'm thinking, crap this will cost me like $50... $170!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Found it on an online junkyard...$40 :)

hey, they're not running a charity case. they KNOW they're just about the only place you can find some of these parts, so they know they can get the $$$. if you want to stick it to them, buy your parts from a junkyard or ebay or something.

Since Ford probably sells 2 of those pieces every year, they have to justify making them and stocking them somehow.
