Meh this looks like a 35K project to me

You can buy an old Zetec a FSWerks turbo kit and some other fun parts for under 10K if you want a project. Then you can take the other 25K and buy a truck and boat or party like Charlie Sheen for a weekend

35k is way over priced. Spend 5k on car and 15k on the v8 engine/trans and mods to install and 5k on other mods and you save 10k. And that is being generous. Used to see lots of engines swaps into miatas and hondas and they never cost anywhere near this much. Gas mileage would suck for sure. But it would be hella fun to drive and show. But for 35k there are alot of really nice cars you could get or almost get.

there is a guy in houston selling a V8 for about 13k. it isn't as pretty as that one but it's a V8

Thanks everyone for your input! It helps a lot. Still not sure on the route I want to go... but if they really need to sell this car they'll come down to reality soon ;)
