My oil change reminder has never come on either. Also the same with my low washer fluid. A reprogram at the dealer fixed the washer stuff, but I haven't gone 10k yet since the PCM was reprogrammed. Just got the clutches replaced along with the clutch motors. I have 38k on this in 13 months.

My 2002 Focus had no problem going 100K on the original plugs (also had no problem with Motorcraft Oil and filters - although I later switched to Purolator), I wouldn't expect the Gen III to either.

Yes, the spark plug change interval is 100k miles. Air filter is 30k, and the cabin air is 15k. Since I use Amsoil, I don't do oil changes for 25k miles.

I put Iridium plugs into everything I have. Huge difference in performance. Of course my 2014 Ti has Autolite's (my Roadglide has NGK's and my 08 Mustang GT/CS has Motorcraft). Just sayin.

Define "huge" difference. If your car is running well you shouldn't notice any difference between new copper, iridium or platinum plugs since plugs can't improve hp or a 1/4 mile time unless your old plugs were crap.

I ran iridiums and copper in my 400hp Eclipse and was no diff except changing intervals.

Anyone index thier new plugs?
I did it on my SVTConyour years ago. Lots of work and putzing to get it done. Bought ten plugs used six.. (instead of washers. (washers would be tough to find for the slanted seat.)

Then which position would you want the electrode in, anyway, in the MK3 focus?
I posted this as a new question in the engine threads..

Exactly. Any misfires would be detected and throw a code . It either burns or doesn't.
