Why not try it out? It's probably 1 or 2 cans and if you don't like it, it comes right off. Post pics now

While following the 5 P's is a good practace at least the overspray comes up with a little rubbing. (Can't find an appropriate smiley for this comment, makes me sad)

I would recommend spraying, immediately removing the tape, then once it's dry, re-tape and re-spray. If you wait too long, the act of peeling away the tape/cutting the paint will reduce adhesion along the edges and eventually will peel. The first time I tried to spray on one of my hood stripes I waited too long (30 seconds), and when I peeled the tape off, the paint came with it. Just act fast and re-tape, IMO. Everywhere that I sprayed then immediately removed the tape is still on my hood like a champ.

When I used the stencil I didn't even use any tape. Just held it down, sprayed, and then moved it away. In that case as well, the paint is adhering to the hood still...and it's been a couple months. I posted these pictures earlier in the thread, but the paint today still looks as good as it did when I sprayed it on:

That would end up being so much extra work and really hard to do if I plan on painting an entire roof.

Especially if your saying 30 seconds is too long to wait before pulling tape up.

Like I said before I think I'll end up messing around with it more before I commit to the whole roof.

Which reminds me I need to use this to paint my after market headlight housings that I pulled apart last year haha. Finally put those bishes back together.
